No!  CrossFit can be scaled for any fitness level.  We’re happy to help you get started! The best place to start is our CrossFit Basics class.

How Do I Get Started?

We schedule 3 one-on-one sessions with a coach before you can attend our group classes. This allows us to get to know you and where you’re at physically. You’ll learn the core movements so you’re prepared to move into group classes. Visit our “Getting Started” page to learn more.

Is CrossFit dangerous?

In short, yes, CrossFit can be dangerous. But not in the ways you might believe. With improper coaching, unkept equipment and a misguided attitude, CrossFit can be very dangerous – but so can riding your bike or driving your car. This is why we require an Introduction to CrossFit series of classes before someone brand new to CrossFit can jump into our group classes. The experienced and proven CrossFit coaches you’ll find at Glass City CrossFit will ensure that you’re training in the safest most effective and efficient way possible.

I'm new to CrossFit. What should I expect?

The CrossFit Foundations is designed to make sure you can execute movements soundly and efficiently. You’ll learn the basic movements and as you demonstrate proficiency, we’ll add on appropriate intensity and complexity. Some people will move right into regular CrossFit classes after completing their three mandatory one-on-one sessions. We understand that others will need more individualized attention and would benefit from additional one-on-one sessions before joining group classes. Your coach will discuss these options and make a recommendation for you.

What is your drop-in policy?

If you’re an experienced CrossFitter, we’d love to have you drop-in!  The drop-in fee is $10/day.  Please fill out the drop-in form to let us know you’ll be stopping by!
